From May, WEC Lines will strengthen the connections between Leixões and the Spanish Mediterranean ports.
The ship-owner has announced that the SPM service, which establishes the connection between the north of Europe and the Iberian Peninsula, will also call the ports of Tarragona, Barcelona, Valencia and Cadiz.
The ships from WEC Lines will keep calling weekly the port of Leixões and TCL, with an accrued advantage to the national importers/exporters, of ensuring more direct connections to those four Mediterranean ports.
To assure the maintenance of the weekly calls at a fixed day, WEC Lines will integrate in the rotations a third 900 TEU ship.
With this extension of service from WEC Lines, TCL and the Port of Leixões will also strengthen its integration in the European short sea shipping and the direct connections to important hub ports.
