It’s not an opening; however, it still deserves to be mentioned: “Thomas Maersk” was (once again) the “Ship of the Week” at the Container Terminal of Leixões.
This time it happened on the 40th week, the first in October. And the ship from Maersk Line was in Leixões precisely on the first two days of the month.
It called on Friday the 1st and began the operations at 11:27 am. And on Saturday the 2nd it was ready for sail at 5:50 pm, when the last container was handled.
During that time (but not uninterruptedly) 1,230 TEU were loaded/discharged. These figures were the highest of a ship in the week, being the reason of the distinction.
Per each hour of effective work, 37 units were handled.
