TCL WITH A RECORD OF 436,000 TEU UP TO AUGUST 2014-09-04 For each passing month, TCL sets another record. Or two, actually: the one for the respective month and the year-to-date’s. And, thus, was once again in August. On vacation period, the Leixões Container Terminal handled 35,801 containers, surpassing the 12.8% in the same period of 2013 and setting a new record for the month concerned. Considering the number of TEU handled, August resulted in 56,124, which is a homolog gain of 9.6%. With another month at the highest level ever, TCL began to accumulate, in the balance of the first eight months of 2014, 276,043 containers and 436,583 TEU handled. Two historical figures that exceed 10.5% and 9.7%, respectively, the absolute maximum that prevailed since... 2013. It should be noted, because it is important, in the case of TCL's the container handled have their origin/destination primarily in the port of Leixões’s hinterland. Which shows the dynamism of exporters and importers in the region and the ability of TCL to well serve and extend its area of influence. |
