TCL VERY CLOSE THE WEEKLY 14,000 TEU 2014-07-02 Fell short, just too short for the Container Terminal Leixões achieve again the milestone of 14,000 TEU handled in a single week. Between 23 and 29 June, TCL recorded 13,931 TEU, one of the best results of the concession in "normal" work time. Thus, only 69 TEU were missing to reach the 14,000, or a few containers adding to the 8,863 handled in the week (another very strong result). Throughout the week no. 26 29 ships were operated at TCL. The most intense day of work (measured by the number of containers handled) was Saturday, June 28. Then were operated "only" six ships, but discharged/loaded 2,228 containers, equivalent to 3,518 TEU. Intense was also the work at TCL’s container yard, with the arrival of 3,716 containers and the shipment of 3,073 others, totalling over 6,789 movements by land. |
