Last year, the port concessions rendered to the Portuguese State, through the corresponding port administrations, a total of 61.2 million Euros. TCL, concessionaire of the Leixões Container Terminal, was the entity which more contributed to that important income. TCL paid 13.8 million Euros, about 800 thousand Euros more than in 2010. As a matter of curiosity, the second concessionaire in this particular ranking paid practically half of this to the Government. The high amount paid is the result of the fixed rents due to APDL, and also of the variable rents which, since the beginning of the concession, didn’t stop rising, due to the successive records of container handling at TCL. The data now unveiled by the Treasury confirm the unique place of TCL within the national port panorama. TCL is proud to contribute, not only for the strong growth of the Port of Leixões in the goods handling, but also for the good financial capacity of APDL. |
