TCL NEAR 3,000 TEU IN ONE SINGLE DAY 2014-09-17 The Leixões Container Terminal was very close to reaching the threshold of 3,000 TEU handled in one single day. It was September 12, Friday, when seven ships were operated and handled 1,839 containers at the quay, which corresponded to 2,833 TEU! That was the best day of the week no. 37 (8-14 September), during which TCL was "visited" by 23 ships, which moved at Leixões 8,148 containers, equivalent to 12,695 TEU. To complete the "picture" of the week no. 37 at TCL remains to refer the handling of over 7,616 containers at the container yard, as a result of reception of 3,476 boxes and the shipping of 4,140 other that arrived/left the port by road. |
