The results of the investments of TCL in efficiency and productivity of the Container Terminal of Leixões are more and more evident, and recognized by most of the ship-owners clients, which are among the biggest world operators.
As an example, “Troense Maersk” called at TCL on the 31st March, and sailed the day after. TCL operated the ship from Maersk Line, having handled 993 TEU at an average rhythm of 71 units per hour of effective work.
The operations began at 6:07 pm on Wednesday the 31st and ended at 2:01 pm on Thursday the 1st April.
And no, it’s not a lie: the productivity of the developed operations at the Container Terminal of Leixões is at the same level of the best practices of European Ports with the same dimensions and characteristics. And bigger productivity at the cargo handling means lesser costs for the ship-owners, as well as more efficient logistic chains. Something acknowledged by the market and valued at TCL.
