TCL GUARANTEES ONE QUARTER OF THE CONCESSIONS’ REVENUES
2014-07-10

Last year, TCL paid 16.57 million euros of revenues (fixed and variable) for the Leixões Container Terminal concession.
Again, despite the slight decrease in the nominal number of containers handled, TCL was, by far, the concessionaire that paid more money to the Port Authorities / State for the concessions.
In total, the port concessions paid revenues of 67.96 million euros. And TCL alone secured 24% of that amount.
Overall, the rents paid by the port concessions grew 5% compared to 2013, surpassing the forecast in equal measure.
The figures are contained in the Project Monitoring Technical Unit (UTAP) report on the port concessions. And prove, if need be, the virtues of PPP in ports.
