TCL ALWAYS ABOVE THE WEEKLY 10,000 TEU 2014-10-15 Until some time ago an objective to work for, the mark of the weekly 10,000 TEU is now a standard result at the Leixões Container Terminal. And so it happened again, now on week no. 41, comprised between 6 and 12 October. During this period, TCL received and operated 27 ships, having handled in the quay front between unloads and loads, 6,389 containers, equivalent to 10,191 TEU. In the container yard, ashore, TCL still handled 6,936 containers, with 3,505 arriving and 3,461 departing, by land (truck and rail). Also on the quay, the busiest day in terms of containers handled was Thursday, October 9. There were 1,551, or 2,249 TEU, as the result of the operation of seven ships. |
