“Sonoma” affirmed itself for the first time as Ship of the Week at the Leixões Container Terminal. It happened right on the first week of the new year, and the distinction was justified by the fact Sonoma was the ship which more containers handled at TCL between the 2nd and the 8th of January: precisely the equivalent of 972 TEU. However, it’s not the only fact which makes the ship of Maersk Line to stand out. The productivity reached at the quay operations, with 67 containers per each hour of effective work, is also an important fact to consider. As a consequence, “Sonoma” was only 13 hours at the Leixões Container Terminal. It was on the 3rd. of January. It began the operations at 8:25 am and at 9:41 pm it had the last container stowed.
