The operation of “Safmarine Pantanal” on the 24th of March showed, once again, that the Container Terminal of Leixões isn’t afraid of the best sector players when the subject is productivity of the operations. In fact, “Safmarine Pantanal” didn’t handle at TCL a considerable number of units, which corresponded to only 1,103 TEU, however, the loading/discharging operations went on at an enviable average rhythm of 66 containers per hour, which means less than a minute to handle each container! The ship belonging to the Maersk group and was Ship of the Week on week # 13, began the operations at 11:57 am on Wednesday the 24th, and at 10:00 pm it was already prepared to sail to the next port of call.
