ONE MORE WEEK VERY CLOSE TO 12.000 TEU
2012-06-20

The activity at TCL continues in very good pace, despite the difficult economic environment.

Between 11th and 17th June, Leixoes Container Terminal received 25 ships and moved to / from pier 7.609 containers, equivalent to 11,861 TEU.

A outcome almost "unthinkable" a relatively short time ago but that now is increasingly common in TCL.

Increasingly common are also the days when the containers handled exceed the threshold of 2.000 TEU.

This happened again in the week No. 24, on 13th June. With five ships operated were discharged / loaded 1.676 containers, equivalent to 2.301 TEU.

The recognized operational capacity of TCL helps to explain these results, with the Lines focus increasingly their moves in Leixoes container terminal.

And of course also the dynamism of the regional shippers, particularly exporters, who continue to strengthen their expeditions.

And last but not least, the increased sea accessibility to Leixoes, allowing the operation of larger vessels.

But not only in the pier front was intense the activity in TCL in the week No. 24. In the storage area were handled plus 7.072 containers, between 3.189 that arrived and 3.883 that departed ... by land.
