It is not a record but it is surely a difficult figure to reach again, not only in Portugal but also in the best European ports similar to Leixões.
TCL achieved a net productivity of 75 movements/hour on the operation of Maximilian Schulte, on the 22nd week. Which means per each 4 minutes of effective work 5 containers were discharged, in average!
The operations began at 9:09 pm on the 2nd of July and ended at 11:25pm the day after.
But this was not the only reason “Maximilian Schulte” stood out on the 22nd week at the Leixões Container Terminal. The ship from Maersk Line was also the one which more containers handled, in absolute terms: the equivalent of 1,966 TEU.
And that’s why it was also chosen as Ship of the 22nd Week, at TCL.
