MAERSK AND MSC DISPUTE THE LEADERSHIP ON THE “TOP 5” OF THE SHIP-OWNERS

Maersk Line and Mediterranean Shipping Company, numbers one and two on the world ranking of maritime container transport, keep lit the dispute for the leadership of the ranking of TCL’s clients ship-owners in 2010. In February, Maersk Line took the priority, keeping MSC at the second place. However, in the accumulated of the first two months of the year, it’s the Helvetian ship-owner the one who has the advantage over the Danish competitor. In February, the “Top 5” of the ship-owners which more containers handled at the Container Terminal of Leixões integrated also Nile Dutch, Wec Lines and the CMA-CGM Group, on the third, fourth and fifth places, respectively. Since January, and beyond MSC and Maersk, the ship-owners with more movements at TCL are, sorted, Wec Lines, the CMA-CGM Group and Transinsular. |
