CPLP PORTS CREATE ASSOCIATION

Gathered in Luanda, representatives of the ports from the Community of the countries of Portuguese Language decided to carry on with the constitution of the Association of CPLP Ports.
The scope is to institutionalize a platform which strengthens the cooperation and economic trade between the member ports and the respective countries.
A market research made out by the Association of the Ports of Portugal has concluded there’s a great growth potential of the commercial flows between CPLP Ports.
The 3rd Meeting of CPLP Ports held in Luanda joined representatives from Angola, Brazil, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau, Mozambique, Portugal e S. Tomé and Príncipe. A representation of the Ports of Senegal was also present.
The representation of the national ports, at the communication level, was held by the port administrations of Leixões, Lisbon, Setubal and Sines and also the Port  Community de Leixões.
