APDL has just launched a competition for the building of the 1st polo of the future Logistics Platform of the Port of Leixões. The previewed investment is of 17.5 million Euros. The works consist essentially in the infra-structuring of the land of the Gonçalves’ polo, with around 30 hectares, at only 2 km from the Port of Leixões and with dedicated road access through VILPL. APDL pretends the works to begin this very year, in order for the first companies to install themselves at the logistics platform in 2012. The project of the Logistics Platform of Leixões includes also the polo 2 of Gatões/Guifões, with 35 hectares, and will include a rail-road terminal to be promoted by Refer. The competition for this second polo will be launched after the summer. The building of the Logistics Platform is a fundamental piece for the continued affirmation of the Port of Leixões as a reference of the logistic chains in the Peninsular Northeast. |
