Till the end of November, TCL handled 298,482 containers, a corresponding growth of 7%. In eleven months, 468,256 TEU were accounted for, at the Container Terminal of Leixões, representing thus an accumulated growth of more than 6%. When there’s only one month for the end of the year, 14,000 TEU will be enough for CL to set a new annual record, exceeding the previous one, set in 2010 as 482,370 TEU. But there’s more: the target of 500,000 TEU is just one step ahead, which is perfectly reachable, based on the recent past. It’s always interesting to remember that TCL has been setting successive annual handling records, settling as the biggest national container terminal operator and contributing also in a decisive way to the growth of the Port of Leixões. |
