10 THOUSAND TEU BARRIER EXCEEDED AGAIN

It’s becoming a good habit. On the 49th week, TCL exceeds the 10 thousand TEU barrier again, giving a decisive impulse for establishing a new annual maximum activity volume. On the first week of December, TCL operated 39 ships and handled 6,676 containers (10,823 TEU). Quite a strong value, also because the last month of the year is normally a less active month. Saturday the 4th was the most intense day, with six ships being operated and 1,533 containers being handled (2,414 TEU), in which the 2,000 TEU barrier was equally exceeded! On yard, TCL received additionally 2,774 containers and delivered 2,720 containers, amounting up to 5,494 moves. Upon entering the last month of the year, TCL was very close to 13 thousand TEU of exceeding 2009 figures and thus to establish a new record. Having achieved however the result on the first week, it is sure a new record of the concession will be set this very week, which will confirm TCL as the greatest national container terminal.
